Jester actually looked pretty good considering all that he had been through. His color was back to normal and his dreads had been washed and woven back into tight shoulder-length braids. He even managed to gain a little weight on nothing but hospital food. His arm was still in a sling however; it would be many months before he could use it normally again.

“Jeez Jester, you look good.” Sam said and shoveled a forkful of hash browns into her mouth. They had stopped at the Golden Nugget for the buffet after picking Jester up from the airport and realizing that they were all starving. The flashing sign advertising the cheap eats drew them in.

“Thanks,” he said and gave a genuine smile. It felt really good to be back in the States again. “Hey, I was thinking. You guys got anything going this weekend?”

It was Friday; Ben had called in sick to his job at a car rental company. It wasn’t exactly his calling in life and he had toyed with the idea of quitting if it weren’t for the fact that he had rent to make. Sam had yet to resume her job back at the marketing agency she worked for. She found that being held captive by guerrillas was a pretty good excuse to take a leave of absence.

“No,” they both replied in unison.

“Great. I have a hell of an idea.” Jester said.
